The story is set Torreon de los Infantes, Castilla lost village below, and its protagonist and narrator, Javier Cerezo (I'll explain to you why your name and relationship to the title), which started the story when he has more or less fourteen years, which is when he meets Caroline and his uncle Cesar Arroyo Cerezo. The peculiar thing about this character is living in a convent, under the tutelage of his Aunt Clara and her older sister, Adelaide. The reason is simple: his mother when he suddenly disappeared and had not completed the year, and his father, well, unknown (who cares, Adelaide and Javier are from different fathers). As we find a boy with an unusual childhood, brought up surrounded by nuns and trust issues (as he says at the beginning of the novel: I am a coward, I admit). A gem, say. After fourteen years we will at maturity, their growth, their sufferings, their joys ... their future until he is exactly twenty-eight years, where the story ends, because it is the age currently have. Of course, you will discover things about his family, who has a lot of fireworks, about his father, about his mother, and very prostitutes happen because of love and women, but time to time.
Since I have put in a situation, what we wanted I tell you: the female characters. The title is inspired by the title of a novel I saw the other day in the window of a bookstore, but I do not remember specifically, and goes on to say, yes, my female characters are usually full of strength and courage. Clara Cherry: aunt, mentor, mother superior of the Torreón de los Infantes. A woman who at the beginning of the work has not yet reached age 40 (38 exact), who entered the convent with a mere 23 years and that he was with two children who breed with only 25, but through sheer force of will, determination and strength of his iron hand, did it successfully. She is a woman of strong character, extremely cultured, authoritative innate and strong feelings, though she tries to hide. It's a music lover of 60 of the literature of English Golden Age and of American cinema of 40-50. She's tall, curly black hair cut to shoulder length (always hidden by the attire characteristic of a nun), and severe dark eyes and slim build.
His personal history is perhaps the hardest of all time, and that's what made it be. Since childhood, his passion was the horses and just 16 years and was participating in international competitions with her horse, Lionel. But in 19 years, returning from an international competition in the south of France with his parents in the car and pulling the horse trailer where he was a truck crossed his path, and parents, who were sitting in front, died in the act, as she could walk out on your own car and watched with their own eyes, as Lionel, the horse with whom both had shared, died because of a fire in his trailer. Since then, Clara has not been able to look at a horse's eyes without remembering the suffering of the poor Lionel, so let parked his career as a horsewoman. Besides this, they blame themselves the death of their parents, for their ambition to be someone on a horse and forcing them to undertake such long journeys and sometimes at night. And, above all, keep in mind that at the time she was the only one left at home with his parents, his brother had joined Caesar and on a boat and knew nothing about him except the postcards sent each time to stop somewhere, and his sister Elizabeth had run away and out of love (I'll explain to you who).
